Use to go to PS 232 in the 70's and would cross the street for lunch. We use to get fries in a bag with ketchup and a Sunny dew to drink and a 1/4 of nuts. What about the pizza place we use to get 2 slices and drink for $1.00 Miss those days. Rob Davis

I grew up in Lindenwood in the mid 60's thru early 80's. Went to PS232, PS 63, 202 and adams. Lots of memories from Happy's, the pizza place (Gigi's I believe), and the luncheonette.

The old memories of Lindenwood were good but what happened to it?

I take it Happy's is a kosher deli, true? I've never been in any Lindenwood stores, just to a couple of friend's homes in Lindenwood.

Retired 2006... I also have lived in Lindenwood since 1960. I am sorry to disagree with you but... the Belt Parkway was here and has been around even before Lindenwood was established.

I have been visiting it a number of times over the past year. Lindenwood has changed some, but is still a nice place to live. You can walk the streets and feel safe. Some of my friends still live in their childhood homes, inheriting them from their parents.

Hi I lived in Lindenwood back in the 60's.  Had a very good friend Shelly Levy she had a son Danny also Glen and a Daughter Laurie, is he the Danny Levy you are talking about that was an owner of Happys Deli which I remember fondly.  If he is can you keep me updated.  I have not seen the family in many years but would love to contact them.
