i was born in howard beach in 1940. lived on 99 street and 161 ave.went to olg thrugh the 5th grade, when we mover away to queens village.Had a great time there, fishing and crabing.does anyone remember crazy mary and her farm?

We moved there in 1955, lived on 96 St just below 162 Ave, graduated OLG in !957.  I remember Mary's Farm, took my Boy Scout cooking test in Cherry Forest, last in HB for my mother's funeral in 2001, couldn't believe the changes at that point, plan to get back there this year.

Another former New Yorker I work with here in Virginia told me that Irene washed away a house in HB.  Any one have any details, I told him I assumed it was actually Hamilton Beach.

Hi, no I don't, my family (DiNardo's) moved to HB in 1955, I left in 1972 and my parents moved away in 1984
