Hi Bonnie Nice to see you online. Dan and I haven't seen you in years, but we remember the same teachers you do.

Wow, I remember Irving Ritter, the Principal of PS 146, and Mrs. Fannon, the 8th grade teacher. Remember Mrs. Cody, Mrs. Buscher, Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Carpenter? I also remember Mr. Von Bargen, the shop teacher. I still have the jewelry box I made in 6th grade, which had to be around 1946.

Mr. Abbraciamento was my friend Sal Raimondi's uncle. He was a great guy and never hesitated to smack us around when he thought we needed it. Then he would dare us to tell our parents about it. Does anyone go back to PS 146 when Mr. Huntner was principle and Harry Lehman was a sixth grade teacher? Looking for Louie Frobaccino,Vinnie Cennamo,Jimmy Arnone,Tony Grecco, the Gambuto's, Julia or Tommy Bruno, and anyone who took the A train to school from 68-72.

Hi, Jimmy Arnone is my cousin and so is Tommy Bruno, second cousins. Jimmy has a brother Tommy also, doesn't he? Jimmy Arnone's father is my first cousin and Tommy Bruno's mother is my first cousin.

Ira, do you remember Miss Papp, the home economics teacher? I remember making apple sauce and Spanish rice in her class on those table top stoves that we lit with a match. They had regular gas stoves in her class too but I was fortunate to get one of the old types. Ha Ha

Casinobabe, I do remember her vaguely. you have to remember that back in those days cooking was for girls and we boys didn't want to have anything to do with that stuff. Myohmy, how the world has changed! I do much (not most, just much) of the cooking now and love it.
