Hi...I graduated from OLG in 1960 (whew!!) I think that getting an alumni going is a great idea....I have proposed it several times..guess I was talking to the wrong people...if I can help..please contact me.

Hi Maloclusion, I have a sister who graduated from OLG about 5 years later than you did. She is now 63. Her name is Phyllis Arnone. Do you remember the Arnone family? Do you remember Sr. Winifred or Sr. Philomena? How about Sr. Paula?

Hi casinobabe, I do remember your name but since I was older thats about it. My friend, Helen Straney, I believe went to school with one of the Arnone's. Iam sure it was your family and that you lived a few blocks from the park. Anyway, it was good hearing from a name from the past. Thank you. Mary

Hi, Malo, Sorry do not know Straney. Yes my family lived four blocks from the park on 161st Ave. between 98th and 99th Streets. I am now in FL I'll ask my older sister if she knows Helen Straney.

I graduated from olg in 1949, and my brother peter in 1957, we lived on 99th street. I went to adams and graduated in 1953. I thought that there might have been a 50 year reunion but that passed. I now live in florida

If you know anyone in the Arnone family, then you might know my older sister, Phyllis Arnone. She graduated from OLG in 1951 and from Adams in 1955. quote:

Val, I believe there was an Adams reunion this past month in Florida (lula lake, I think) Check out Classmates.com ....that was where I read about it.

Linda. I also graduated fromOLG in 1963. My sister told me about this site and I have been playing on it for a day or so. I do believe I remember you, last name DeBennedeto was it? Hi. I graduated in 1969 from OLG. Lots of great friends and great times. Haven't been on the Beach in about 4 years, but when I do, I always drive the kids around and show them all the sites.

I remember Sisters Paula, Winifred & Philomena well and also Mother Superior who I believe was Philomena's real life sister. There used to be a picture of Winifred, Philomena & Mother just inside the entrance to the then new convent. Do you remember Father Harty?

I graduated in 1960, my sister Cathy in 1957. Can't forget Fr. Harty, Sr. Winefred (8th grade), Sr. Philomena, Sr. Paula (and her ruler, which she had a name for). Does anyone remember Sr. Cornelia? She taught in the little school, 1st or 2nd grade. Ellen Doxsey

I remember Sister Paula's ruler (18" I believe), I also remember Winifred's pointer. I'm sure I remember a Cathy Doxsey, did she graduate in June, 1957? A very Merry Christmas to you and your family and to the whole Howard Beach family.

Hey Eddie Woods! It has been a long time since we members of the OLG class of '69 has seen each other. I still remember your lead role in Sr. Cornelius's production of "The St. Patrick Story." You were totally Broadway bound.
