I have come across a bunch of articles "Historical Views of South Queens" published by historian Richard J. Ranft. Looks like it coverd a lot of stuff from the 1900 thru 1940 period.
I personally came from South Aqueduct and found the info very interesting. But enough, what I would like is for the owner of this web page, or others to get ahold of me by E-Mail,
geocornell@bellsouth.net and let me know if you are interested in letting me put what I have on the Howard Beach web-site? If so, be warned, i am a computer illerate, i graduated from P.S. 146 in 1948 (76 years old) and would need help in transfering this info. I plan on scanning the pages and create a jpeg.file. from here on i am lost.
Anyway, send me an E-Mail and let me know if your interested.
Thanks,
George Cornell
Hi George,
If you have any photos of old Howard Beach I would love to post them on the site. You can scan the photos then email them to me and I'll upload them.
Thanks
