Happy New Year everyone, after almost 10 years I finally launched a new site. I would love to hear your comments and/or suggestions.
I like it. Much better than the old one. Where is everyone?
Thanks. To be fair, the old site was created almost 10 years ago. For that time I think it was great.
Great new format! You can see you have put alot of work into creating this site.
Thank you.
Like the new appearance. Glad you kept the old posts in the guest Book. Now we just need to restart new dialogue in each of the forums. Glad you kept the same basic forums.
I'm still trying to migrate the 3400 posts from the old Forum but it's a lot of work.
The 3400 posts from the old Forum have been imported.
Please note that the authors for those posts are all listed as "Anonymous" since the members can't be migrated to this new website.
Not sure of its difficulty, but having a "Where they are" box on the Home & perhaps Forum pages might help promote use of the chat room since it would let people know others are there. Thanks
The "Where are they" module is now available on the Forum, Guest Book, Chat and Events pages.
Also added a "Monthly Top Users" module on the Forum page.
Mr. Patti:
Than you for importing all the old posts. Too bad you could not migrate the orginial author names with them. Oh well.....Thanks anyway
Ray
great new site. we have our own site that gives much of the same information... www.HavenZone.com we include a few more neighborhoods and some more features, but I really like the look of your site. You did a great job with it and it is very clean. Maybe you would be interested in some cross promotion of the sites?
Hey, there might be more use if there were more topics in the forum. Maybe more things to talk about. We just added a lot more topics to our forum I will let you know if any one topic seems to get more attention.
FYI... on some of the topics in the forum when you click on the "next page" link at the bottom I get an error... like in : Howard Beach Forum Discussions General Famous people thread if you click on the "Next" link at the bottom of the thread you get this error:
I'm aware of the problem and will fix it as soon as possble.
Thanks
